iPropWiz 7 Floating Licenses

As of Feb 01, 2026 all iPropWiz licenses will move to a single license type. Beginning with Inventor 2025, all iPropWiz licenses use a web based floating license scheme. As new version of Inventor and iPropWiz are released, support for older versions of iPropWiz will continue but they will eventually be removed from versions that receive updates. In addition, a price increase (the first since 2020) will be applied to both new license purchases and maintenace fees.

If you are using an Inventor version prior to Inventor 2025, you will still have the option to use either a local or floating license. See the information below on iPropWiz licenses for Inventor 2019-2024.

The license is subscription based with a one year subscription term. All iPropWiz 7 updates and support for new Autodesk Inventor versions are included during your subscription term. iPropWiz 7 is more closely tied to individual Autodesk Inventor versions, and will incorporate any new iProperty functionality as it becomes available. New purchases and upgrades from iPropWiz 6 include a one year subscription. See the information below on how subscriptions are managed.

If you are upgrading from iPropWiz 6 you must upgrade all current licenses at the same time.
If you have multiple iPropWiz 6 local license keys, all local licenses are combined under a single iPropWiz 7 license key on upgrade.
Your first iPropWiz 7 purchase date, or upgrade date becomes the start date for your first year of subscription. This one year subscription is included in the purchase or upgrade price.
Users currently using iPropWiz 5 or older licenses must purchase new iPropWiz 7 licenses.

iPropWiz 7 Licenses for Inventor 2019-2024

iPropWiz 7 licenses for Inventor 2019-2024 use a different license scheme. You have the option of selecting a local or floating license for these versions.

Local License: A single license key is provided for all local licenses purchased for your company. For example, if you purchase four local licenses, your license key will allow for activation on four different computers. If you purchase additional licenses, the maximum number activations on your license key is increased to enable the addtional activations.

Floating License: With this option you install an iPropWiz 7 floating license server with a preset license limit on your network. As users start iPropWiz 7 during an Inventor session, they obtain a license from the network. The license is released when Autodesk Inventor is closed, making it available to another user. If all available licenses have been assigned from the server, no other users will be able to obtain a license until one or more licenses have been released by current users. The preset number of available floating licenses can be updated by purchasing additional floating licenses.

iPropWiz Licenses for Inventor 2019-2024 Notes:

The iPropWiz 7 license server is intended to work on a local network for a local set of users. Although we do not officially support serving licenses across WANs or domains, many customers have had success in doing so. We do not support converting floating licenses to fixed licenses (unless you also have a local license key), nor can we guarantee solutions for complex networking environments. The iPropWiz 7 floating license server does not use the same technology as floating licenses for Autodesk products, or Autodesk's new named-user licensing scheme.

A single floating license is typically all that is required. To increase the number of floating licenses the server can dispense, please purchase addtional floating licenses.

To activate the floating license server license, the server must be able to access our authentication service on our website. You may need to configure your security settings to enable this. This also applies when you renew the license subscription or update the number of floating licenses.

iPropWiz 7 License Pricing

The following table outlines pricing for new iPropWiz 7 license purchases and upgrade pricing from iPropWiz 6. To determine the price you will pay:

Find the row that reflects how many iPropWiz 7 licenses (seats) you will have once this purchase is complete. This is the single row for determining pricing for your current purchase.
For new license purchases, use the value in the New purchase column as the price for each new license you want to purchase.
For upgrades from iPropWiz 6, use the value in the Upgrade from iPropWiz 6 column as the price for each license you are upgrading.
The Subscription after first year column indicates your yearly subscription price per license after the first year. If you make addtional purchases during the subscription term your subscription price per seat may be reduced (see below).

Managing iPropWiz 7 Licenses

iPropWiz 7 is closely tied to specific Autodesk Inventor versions. Any mix of iPropWiz 7 versions can coexist on your computer, meaning iPropWiz 7 is available to you with any version of Autodesk Inventor from 2019 onward. The installer for each iPropWiz 7 version installs the version in a separate folder. If you have multiple versions installed, ensure you have the correct version when updating to a new build. The installation folder for each version is shown in the following list

iPropWiz 7.19 is installed in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.19\ folder.
iPropWiz 7.21 is installed in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.21\ folder.
iPropWiz 7.22 is installed in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.22\ folder.
iPropWiz 7.23 is installed in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.23\ folder.
iPropWiz 7.24 is installed in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.24\ folder.

Your subcription term starts on the date of your first purchase of an iPropWiz 7 license, or the date you upgrade your iPropWiz 6 licenses. Because the price of a new license includes the subscription fee for the first year, purchasing additional new licenses during the subcription term is discounted as outlined in the following table.

To determine the price per license at purchase time, apply the folloiwng formula: Price = New purchase price - (Discount * Yearly subscription price)

Example: You are five months into your subscription term and you currently have four (4) iPropWiz 7 licenses. You want to purchase three (3) additional licenses.

The seven (7) local licenses you will have after the purchase means you use the 4 to 8 licenses row in the license pricing table.
From the license pricing table, the new purchase price is $107/license and the yearly subscription fee is $43/license.
From the discount table, purchases in the fifth month have a 40% discount applied to the subscription portion of the price.
Applying the formula, the price per license for this purchase is 107 - (0.4 * 43) = $90.00. Pricing will be rounded to the nearest dollar.
On your subscription aniversary you would pay the yearly subscription fee for all seven licenses.
