Configuration Editor - Custom Property Format Rules

Send comments on this topic.

You use Custom Property Format Rules (CPFRs) to format exported parameters and physical properties. These rules mimic the Custom Property Format rules available for exported parameters in Autodesk Inventor. You can create any number of rules for each unit category. For example, you may create two different rules for formatting Length values. One rule might be to three decimal places, use Meter units and show the units string. A second length units rule might format the value as feet and inches to the nearest 1/16".

Notes:

When you create a new CPFR, the Description automatically includes the units category and base units. Any text entered for the description is appended to these two values.

Any edits to the description after the rule has been created are applied as entered, there is no link back to the units category or base units.
